I used to have no idea how to stop overthinking.

Odd thoughts would race around my mind about everything: my money situation, health, relationships, safety. I’d jump from one thought to another, predicting one catastrophe after another.

I’d worry that I couldn’t control these thoughts … and then I’d worry about the fact that I worried so much.

Thank You! I feel I can relate to you. I also came out of a very long-term abusive relationship, and have not only lost a lot of my confidence, but it has severely worsened both my depression and anxiety. I experienced physical, emotional and verbal abuse. I was then stalked for a period of time, further worsening my paranoia. Ordinarily, I am inwardly nervous and depressed. People don’t know it because I’m always smiling and act happy. I try not to show it. I’ve backed out of many opportunities in my life due to my nervousness and nervous thoughts, and I have many regrets now. I had almost no friends in my highschool classes, and my entire gradeschool hated me. No one talked to me. A small group befriended me, but the majority of students in high school hated me. I believe the reason is because of me never going up to talk to them. They thought I was weird. I’m overweight due to my depression, and I’m unmotivated in a lot of ways. Anxiety and Depression has always been a struggle, and is now a greater struggle for me then ever before….

My anxiety hit the roof. For the last three years it caused so many hallucinations and delusions, sudden contractions, chills, nausea, abdominal pains, headache etc. At some point I couldn’t even open my eyes nor move.
